![]() ![]() Since I didn't have this problem on the LG V40 I'm assuming it's an issue with Pandora on the Galaxy S10, though that may be anecdotal. Google Play music also did not have this issue. If the app is stopping when your phones screen goes dark, turns off, goes to sleep, or is backgrounded, it is likely an Android level setting which is designed. I have confirmed this issue happens on Pandora, when I used Plex streaming from my home PC it did not have the issue. Update: As u/resqguy86 pointed out, it was just Pandora. Pandora currently shows 5hours of active use with 0min background so not 100% sure if that's the issue or not but I've had allow background usage enabled and experienced the problem. (It's not showing in the Apps Not Optimized section.)Īnyone else encountering a similar issue? I've seen a lot of chatter about it but it was mainly the background portion. One question I have is it was set in the "apps optimized" section, I just moved it out of there. I've enabled the option for to allow background activity. It's even randomly pausing when the screen is on (was browsing the internet when it happened)ĭoing some research, I've found several forums saying to disable the app being put to sleep. So, thinking that it's a Bluetooth issue i've actually just used it in speaker mode. At first I thought it was a Galaxy Buds issue, so I started using my LG headset, same thing. It's at different intervals seemingly random. When listening to Pandora, (Not sure if it affects other services, but I'll check it out) the music will randomly pause. Something that has been driving me nuts recently, seems like it started about a month ago. ![]() I'm going to play around with this for a bit and post a solution in case anyone goes insane later trying to figure it out. My assumption is: Whenever i'm outside, there are interruptions with Bluetooth that are small enough to not actually disconnect but large enough so it actually pauses. When I opened the screen there was a notification with a pair of headphones on it however it went away too fast for me to click it. I hope ZTE comes up with a upgrade to fix this issue or I'm gonna have to get another phone can't take this BS.EDIT: Found the issue, when coming into range of any bluetooth device (in this case my galaxy watch) Pandora paused. IDK what else to do I use my music all day at work drive allot gets me thru the day. Changed them with no luck also downloaded all my music using Wi-Fi so you can play when you have no signal no luck still does not work. Called ZTE tech support said it was pause feature causing issues told me to change my quality settings in spotify. After 7 day warranty period new phone started doing the same thing go figure the 8th day just out of warranty. I decided to get it replaced with same due to very first ZTE. Said they could get me a different phone or wait for order to come in to get the same one replaced. Took it back to cricket and of coarse they were out of stock of this phone and have never heard of a problem like that. Pausing on all music thru spotify, dezzer and so on. Problems within the warranty time frame 7 days thru cricket. My old ZTE stopped charging correctly so I figured I'd get a new one had the old one a really long time and I loved it worked great never gave me any problems so I'd thought I'd get a new one. My initial request to ZTE was sent through their website, but I think you can email them directly at: luck guys!! I know how INFURIATING it is! Which reminds me, I have to email them to let them know I'm holding on to it until further notice! I want to leave that option open for myself. they were willing to take the phone again. In the meantime, I had contacted ZTE again and they opened another repair ticket for me. I can't say for sure that's what fixed it (in fact, I'm highly skeptical), but I figured it wouldn't hurt to share what helped me this time around. Worse than it was before! I thought that maybe using GPS did something to the phone since the problem came back the second I used it again (I had forgotten at the time that I had already used GPS since getting my phone back), so I downloaded an app called GPS Status and clicked Reset GPS. As soon as I started using the app, the pausing problem came back. Until one day I went for a run using a running app that tracks my progress. Long story short, I got my phone back and all worked well for over a month. Before I shipped it though, I called Metro and explained my situation and asked them if they can temporarily hook my old phone back up again while this one was getting fixed. They fixed it for free because I only had it less than a month, I just had to pay to ship it there (like $7 from MA to TX). I ended up having to send my phone to ZTE for repair. ![]()
